Stamen (formerly known as ST-ARTS) is my tracker music project. I started composing music on the Amiga 500 computer in the early 1990s using the ProTracker software. Initially using the alias ST-ARTS, my early works were marked by their distinctive blend of electronic, chiptune, and experimental soundscapes. As my music evolved, I adopted the name Stamen around 1995, a shift that reflected a more refined and personal approach to my compositions.
Between 1993 and 2000, I created a wide range of Amiga modules, which were shared on platforms like Aminet and Modarchive, where they were downloaded and appreciated by a some audience. My music captures the spirit of the 90s demoscene, combining the limitations of tracker-based software with a creative flair that brought these early digital compositions to life.
Although my active production of Amiga music ended in 2000, the legacy of Stamen (and ST-ARTS) continues to inspire those who appreciate the unique sounds of retro computing and early digital music.
