Starlight Foundation is a synthwave-based collaboration project founded by Finnish artists Jouni Airaksinen (Mark Vera) and Saul Tyni (Lightracer). At its core, the project is driven by a shared desire to blend both artists’ strong influences from synth and electronic music, creating a sound that is both futuristic and nostalgic, while bursting with energy and life.

Starlight Foundation's debut release, Breath of the Tiger, arrived in 2022. The single showcases the project’s signature sound, combining powerful synthesizers, catchy rhythms, and melodies that transport the listener to neon-lit city nights filled with excitement and adventure. Breath of the Tiger uniquely features C64-inspired soundscapes alongside electrifying electric guitar riffs, adding a retro, gaming-like touch to the dynamic synthwave atmosphere. The track is a perfect introduction to Starlight Foundation's ability to craft immersive, atmospheric synthwave experiences that inspire and take the listener to new realms.

This collaboration brings together Mark Vera's and Lightracer’s unique musical styles, creating fresh, innovative music that pushes traditional synthwave into new directions. While Starlight Foundation is still in its early stages, its released music promises much more to come—full of potential, excitement, and an adventurous spirit waiting to captivate listeners around the world.
