THE OFFICIAL HOMEPLANET OF THE EVERDUNE AND LIGHTRACER MUSIC PROJECTS
I'm the independent electronic music artist behind Everdune and Lightracer projects, inspired by spacesynth, science fiction, retro-futuristic sounds, and the timeless magic of electronic music. Outside my musical activities, I work in art education, teaching visual arts. Art and creativity are important parts of my life, both professionally and personally. I'm also an artist myself, working with visual expression and creating artwork, including the cover art for my own music releases.
For me, music and visual art complement each other, offering different ways to express ideas, emotions, and imaginary worlds. My musical journey began in the early 1990s, when I became fascinated by video game soundtracks and the creative world of the Amiga demoscene. I started composing my own music around 1993, experimenting with sounds, melodies, and electronic textures that would eventually become part of my musical identity.
In the early 2000s, I discovered spacesynth and found a style that connected many of my interests: powerful synthesizers, memorable melodies, futuristic atmospheres, and journeys into imaginary worlds. What began as an interest in space-themed electronic music gradually developed into my own interpretation of the genre. My musical influences range from classic video game composers and Amiga musicians to the pioneers of spacesynth. These artists have helped shape my musical perspective, but I have always wanted to create something that feels like my own rather than simply imitate someone else's sound.
As an artist, I value creativity, independence, and the freedom to explore different ideas. I appreciate the roots and traditions of spacesynth, but I also believe that music should be allowed to evolve. For me, a genre should be a source of inspiration, not a set of strict rules. Through Everdune and Lightracer, I combine my long-standing love of electronic music with my fascination for science fiction, cosmic landscapes, and retro-futuristic aesthetics.
My visual art is another part of this creative universe, allowing me to develop the imagery and atmosphere surrounding my music, from cover artwork to the visual identity of individual releases. After all these years, the inspiration remains much the same as it was when I first started making music: the joy of creating something of my own and exploring ideas that take the imagination beyond the ordinary.
Welcome to my homepages — my own little corner of the electronic music universe, where sound and visual art meet among the stars.
